... the same successive choices of material do not appear among the children as a whole. Indeed their individual differences begin to assert themselves progressively at this point in their education." (Advanced Montessori Method II, Clio, 1997)
Through our studies we work toward a goal of creating a world in which people respect and live in harmony with the natural world. Curriculum presentations are based on the "Ten Trusts" as written by Jane Goodall and Marc Bekoff. They are: Rejoice that we are part of nature. Respect all life. Open our minds, in humility, to animals and learn from them Teach our children to respect and love nature. Be wise stewards of life on Earth. Value and help preserve the sounds of nature. Refrain from harming life in order to learn from it. Have the courage of our convictions. Help those who work for animals and the natural world. Act knowing we are not alone and live with help.
Our classroom is filled with beautifully presented hands-on lessons, for each subject area, inviting children to explore and learn.
